Tryouts for the 2023-24 travel season are complete. If you are interested in participating next season, check back in August 2024!

Junior Travel Teams

CAVC offers travel teams within three competition levels - Club, Power, & Elite. CAVC teams practice in private schools, public schools and community gyms.  Players will work on individual skill development while also getting game experience. Practices usually include one weekend practice and 1-2 weekday evening practices. Teams will travel to tournaments on the weekends. All teams will have a head coach and assistant coach.

Athletes will try out with all other athletes in their age group. They will not try out for a particular competition level. When registering, athletes will be asked what levels of competition they would consider playing for. This allows players with time or financial limitations or players looking for a high level of commitment to express their interests. Occasionally, a player may receive an offer for a level of competition they did not select should their tryout and team needs align such that we feel they could best grow within and add value to a different CAVC team. It is our goal to provide exceptional training and opportunity for all levels of student-athletes!

Team Dues Information

When an athlete is offered a spot on a travel team, a $250 deposit will be required to accept the position. This deposit will go towards your team dues. Remaining team dues (see below) will be split into monthly payments made from November through February. Athletes and their families will have the opportunity to participate in fundraising opportunities in order to cover part or all of their team dues.

Please keep in mind that team dues do not cover gas, food, and lodging expenses at tournaments or additional equipment outside of what is listed above. Players and/or families will need to cover these additional expenses.
