Boys' travel team tryouts for the 2025-26 season will be held on October 26 from 4-7 pm at the Charlottesville High School gymnasium (1400 Melbourne Road, Charlottesville, VA 22901).
Athletes will try out with boys of all age groups. They will not try out for a particular competition level. When registering, athletes will be asked what levels of competition they would consider playing for. This allows players with time or financial limitations or players looking for a high level of commitment to express their interests. Occasionally, a player may receive an offer for a level of competition they did not select should their tryout and team needs align such that we feel they could best grow within and add value to a different CAVC team. It is our goal to provide exceptional training and opportunity for all levels of student-athletes!
If an athlete is unable to attend any part of travel team tryouts due to a direct, previously planned, and immovable conflict, contact us at charlottesvillevolleyball@gmail.com to discuss the possibility of an alternative option.
Levels of Competition
CAVC offers two levels of competition for boys, Club and Power. We will not offer an Elite level team for boys this year.
We may field teams of one or both of these levels of competition, depending on the demand and level of play of athletes at tryouts. You can find more information about competition levels and the associated time and financial commitment of each here.
Tryout Registration
Tryout registration will open on Friday, June 20, at 8:00 am ET. Registration is required to participate in tryouts. Please click on the link below to register. Tryout registration costs $159. For athletes that register by July 31, a special early bird rate of $139 will be offered.
